Although he was forced to migrate from his homeland in Makkah to Madinah a few years prior, his attempt to return to Makkah was thwarted by his kinsmen, who rejected him and his message out of arrogance and ignorance. Nevertheless, the Prophet (SAW) remained calm and patient, trusting in Allah’s assurance that this situation would ultimately lead to a great victory for Islam. This paper aims to reflect on the Prophet\u2019s willingness to compromise for peace in seventh-century Arabia and to draw relevant lessons for the Muslim community in Nigeria, who often find themselves needing to compromise in favor of religious counterparts with greater influence. Historical and analytical research methods are employed to achieve this objective, followed by recommendations and conclusions highlighting the Treaty of Hudaybiyah’s relevance to the Nigerian Muslim community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<a
